When is the TNPSC Group 4 exam 2026?

The TNPSC Group 4 exam for the 2026 notification is on 10 January 2027, from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM. It is a single three-hour paper. The recruitment is called Group 4 2026 because the notification came out in 2026, but the exam itself falls in 2027.

Apply online at www.tnpscexams.in after One Time Registration. The hall ticket, answer key and result dates have not been announced yet. TNPSC publishes them on its website.
Why the date differs from the planner
TNPSC's Annual Planner for 2026, published on 3 December 2025, listed Group 4 with a notification on 6 October 2026 and an exam on 20 December 2026. The notification came on schedule, but the exam was set three weeks later. The planner says its dates are tentative and may be added to or dropped, so the notification is the date to trust. What 10 January 2027 means for your preparation
From 9 October 2026 you have roughly three months. That is enough for a focused plan if you start with the Tamil Part A, because you need 60 of its 150 marks for the rest of your paper to be evaluated. Build your plan backwards from the exam date and put full 200-question mocks in the last six weeks. The Group 4 study plan has a compressed three-month version.
