Yes. IBPS's clerical cadre recruitment is officially called Customer Service Associate (CSA). The 2026 cycle is CRP CSA-XVI, and aspirants still search for it as "IBPS Clerk". The post is the same clerical cadre in the same participating public sector banks.

What the name change covers

The notification title and the post name both say Customer Service Associate. The previous cycle was CSA-XV, and the 2026 one is CSA-XVI. If you search for the IBPS Clerk notification, look for "CRP CSA" on ibps.in.

What the 2026 exam looks like

StageDetails
Prelims100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes: English 30, Numerical Ability 35, Reasoning 35, separately timed
Mains160 questions, 200 marks, 125 minutes
Language testWhere required, after the Mains
InterviewNone

The Mains sections are General/Financial Awareness (40 questions, 50 marks), General English (40, 40), Reasoning Ability (40, 60) and Quantitative Aptitude (40, 50). Wrong answers lose 0.25 of the marks assigned to the question.

What is outdated

Older clerk guides describe a Mains of 190 questions, 200 marks and 160 minutes, with a combined "Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude" section. In the CSA-XVI Mains there is no separate Computer Aptitude section, so a book or video built on the old pattern spends time on the wrong things. We cannot say from our sources exactly which cycle made the change, so check the notification rather than a year quoted by a third party.

SBI has not made the same change. Its Junior Associate Mains (190 questions, 160 minutes) still includes "Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude". Do not mix the two when you study; see IBPS vs SBI.

The full paper is in the IBPS Clerk syllabus and exam pattern, and the IBPS Clerk preparation strategy turns it into a plan.
