Does IBPS publish previous year question papers?
On this page
No. IBPS does not publish past question papers. What it releases are information handouts with sample question types, usually alongside the call letters. Any "IBPS previous year paper" you find online is memory-based, put together by coaching sites or candidates after the exam.
What the notifications say
The IBPS notifications for PO/MT-XVI (2026) and CSA-XVI (2026) treat disclosing or reproducing test content in any form as unfair means. So there is no official archive to find, and papers circulated online are recalled questions.
What is official instead
| Body | Official material | Past papers? |
|---|---|---|
| IBPS | Information handouts with sample question types | Not published |
| SBI | "Acquaint Yourself" and information handouts, plus pre-examination training material for eligible categories | No official archive found |
| RBI Grade B | Information handouts with sample questions | No official archive found |
| RBI Assistant | Information handout for the Mains | RBI says the examination body does not provide question papers to it, so RBI cannot share them |
| NABARD Grade A | Advertisement and notices | The advertisement says question papers are not disclosed and not shared with anybody, even after the exam |
How to use unofficial papers well
- Call them what they are. "Memory-based papers" and "practice papers modelled on the latest pattern" are honest labels. Do not treat any such paper as a prediction.
- Check the pattern year. A paper from a few cycles back may follow a structure that has since changed. IBPS PO's Mains, the SBI PO descriptive paper and the IBPS Clerk Mains have all changed; see the IBPS PO syllabus and exam pattern before you rely on old marks or timings.
- Use them for practice, not for guessing questions. The value is timing and accuracy under pressure, not spotting repeats.
- Prefer current-pattern mocks. Full-length mocks matching the latest sections give a better read on your readiness than a paper with the wrong structure.
PrepMatic's position
PrepMatic does not claim to hold previous year papers. Its mocks follow the current paper pattern, and its practice questions are AI-generated, not copies of past papers. The bank exam mock test strategy explains how many mocks to take and how to review them.
If you are just starting, the beginner roadmap for bank exams gives a plan that does not depend on any past paper.
