What the ₹18,073 means
It is a yearly figure for government college MBBS in the 2026-27 session, as stated in the prospectus. It is not a total for the whole course, and it does not include hostel, mess, books, uniform, or any other charges the college may levy. Ask the college you are allotted for those.
When the deposit matters
Government college seats do not need a security deposit, so you do not risk one by choosing a government college. For seats in self-financing colleges through the Government Quota, the deposit is forfeited if you do not join in Round 3 or later, so check the joining rules for the round you are in.
Fees can change
Fees are set for a session and may be revised by a later Government Order. Treat these amounts as 2026-27 and check the prospectus for the session you are applying to.
