Application correction window in TNPSC
On this page
The application correction window is a short period after the last date to apply during which you can edit your TNPSC application. In the three notifications read for this site, it lasts 3 days. It opens a few days after the closing date and is the chance TNPSC gives you to fix a mistake in a submitted application.
Windows in recent notifications
| Notification | Last date to apply | Correction window |
|---|---|---|
| Group 4, 2026 (No. 11/2026) | 05.11.2026, 11.59 PM | 09.11.2026, 12.01 AM to 11.11.2026, 11.59 PM |
| Group 2 and 2A, 2025 (No. 11/2025) | 13.08.2025 | 18.08.2025 to 20.08.2025 |
| Group 1, 2025 (No. 04/2025) | 30.04.2025 | 05.05.2025 to 07.05.2025 |
How to use the window
- Check the dates in your notification. The window begins after the closing date and ends after three days, so note the exact hours for your exam.
- Review your application as soon as the window opens. Compare each entry with your certificates: name, date of birth, community, qualification and exam centre.
- Fix errors that affect eligibility first, such as category, date of birth and qualification, because they can lead to rejection at verification.
- Submit before the window closes. Do not leave it to the last hour.
The notification states which fields can be changed, so read that paragraph. Details held in your One Time Registration profile can be edited with supporting documents, as described under One Time Registration.
Why it matters
An error you do not fix can show up at certificate verification, when your documents are compared with your claims. A wrong category can also cost you a fee concession claim or push you into the wrong age row.
An example
For Group 4 2026, applications close at 11.59 PM on 05.11.2026, and the window runs from 12.01 AM on 09.11.2026 to 11.59 PM on 11.11.2026. A candidate who spots a wrong exam-centre preference on 10.11.2026 corrects it that day, rather than waiting for the last hours.
Applying itself happens on tnpscexams.in. The OTR and how to apply guide covers the whole process.
