On 7 October 2026 TNPSC put the tentative answer keys for 32 subjects of the Combined Technical Services Examination (Non-Interview Posts) on its website. These papers were held between 16 August and 19 September 2026. Candidates who disagree with a key can object until 5.45 pm on 14 October 2026.

What the press release says

The keys are for Paper I and Paper II in the subjects listed in the release. They include Civil Engineering (subject code 398), Architecture (401), Agriculture (491), Horticulture (493), Library and Information Science (594) and Archaeology (420), and the last entry is Tamil Eligibility Test, General Studies, Aptitude and Mental Ability (503). The listing runs to 32 subjects in all.

How to raise an objection

  1. Log in to the Commission's website and open the Exam Dashboard.
  2. Use the "Answer key Challenge" window. TNPSC says this is the only way to object.
  3. Submit within seven days of publication, which means by 5.45 pm on 14 October 2026.
  4. Follow the instructions and procedure given on the website.

Objections sent by post or e-mail will not be accepted. The key is tentative, and TNPSC's answer-key page lists tentative and final keys separately.

Why it matters

The challenge window is short and strict, so check your response sheet against the key at once, and give clear reasons for each question you challenge. Our TNPSC Combined Technical Services guide explains the exam; the Group 4 answer key page covers how keys and challenges work in a large OMR exam.
