TNPSC Group 1 prelims: hall tickets out for the 27 September exam
On this page
On 17 September 2026 TNPSC announced that the hall tickets (Memorandum of Admission) for the Group 1 preliminary examination were available online. The objective-type OMR paper was scheduled for the forenoon of 27 September 2026 at 38 district centres.
What the press release says
TNPSC invited applications for the Combined Civil Services Examination-I (Group-I Services) through Notification No. 05/2026, dated 23 June 2026. Hall tickets were hosted on two sites, www.tnpsc.gov.in and www.tnpscexams.in. A candidate downloads the hall ticket from the One Time Registration (OTR) dashboard by entering the application number and date of birth. The release was signed by P. Sri Venkata Priya, I.A.S., Controller of Examinations.
Hall ticket checklist for any TNPSC exam
- Download and print the hall ticket, and check the name, photograph, centre and reporting details on it.
- Read the banned-items rules in the notification. The Group 4 notification of 6 October 2026, for example, bars mobile phones, smart watches and smart glasses from the hall.
- Practise marking an OMR sheet so that the circles are filled correctly and completely.
For the pattern and syllabus, see the Group 1 exam pattern page and the Group 1 syllabus guide. In the 2025 notification, the preliminary paper had 200 questions for 300 marks, and the later stages were the main examination and an interview; check the 2026 notification for the current scheme.
Why it matters
Hall ticket and centre details are a recurring source of last-minute errors, and the Commission publishes them only through the OTR dashboard. The Group 1 notification page tracks the rest of the cycle.
